Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Michelle spent much of her childhood experimenting with various artistic mediums such as ballet, drawing and painting. After graduating high school she attended College of Charleston in South Carolina, graduating with a BA in Art History and Studio Art in 2006. While working on her BA she began to assimilate various media she had experimented with into her photography, which ultimately resulted in a unique hybrid aesthetic. She then moved to Savannah, Georgia to pursue a MFA degree in photography at Savannah College of Art and Design. Michelle is currently living and working in Washington D.C. as a photographer.
